Scionwood & Seed

Scionwood - We have a fluctuating list of cultivars available each year for grafting. This includes apple, pear and some cherry and plum. Wood is distibuted during the dormant season only, usually beginning in late February and running until the beginning of April. One of our cuttings is good for about 3 separate grafts.

8 to 12 inch cuttings                                                       $  2.50 ea.

Available cultivars : Many of the cultivars in the apple section are available each year but availability will only be listed later when we gather in January. The following are always in the inventory : McIntosh, Haralson, Honeygold, Sweet 16, Parkland, Norland, Alexander, Summerred, Red Baron, Lodi, Leo, Walden Early Red, Wealthy, Beacon, Nova Easygro in apples. David, Summercrisp, Walden Large in pears. Full inventory will be listed as soon as we know, or email with a request. (go to APPLES for descriptions)

Rootstocks - We sell a variety of cold hardy certified organic rootstocks. These are currently all full sized (standard) seedling stock. Trees can reach 30 feet or more if unpruned, but the scion cultivar will have a large influence on ultimate height and canopy. Makes for a very long lived tree compared with dwarfing stock.
